leftovers

Lapis sagu, ondeh-ondeh and ang ku kueh.

These colourful snacks are leftovers from the shoot today. Having only slept 4 hours last night, i am so tempted to take a nap now. i’ve been working very long hours recently in order to meet a deadline in 5 days time... correction, 4.5 days. Help!

bettys

i had totally forgotten about this tea (Bettys Tea Room Blend) from York till my niece pulled it out from the cupboard.

(The toddler’s idea of fun was to pull everything out from the cupboard and threw them on the floor. Everyday.)

last bite

Saving the last bite for the shoot before it’s all gone.

The haze is not only burning my eyes and causing me headache, it has also added bodyache to the list since morning. And now, my stomach is bloated and i’m starting to feel nauseous.

a hazy late-lunch/early-break

My favourite sparkling water and fillet-o-fish.

My eyes are feeling extremely uncomfortable due to the haze, making it very difficult to work. After running some errands – helped mum to replace her ezlink card, buy groceries (actually it’s more of junk food) and a bottle of eyedrop, i came back home with a slight headache.

timely reminder

My highly sensitive stomach never fails to remind me that it’s time to take a break no matter how busy i am.

blowing in the wind

Cheesy french toast, lettuce and coffee.

The rain had just stopped. Standing next to the window, my hair danced in the cool breeze. I took a deep breath. It’s a lovely day.

birthday vermicelli

Mum had forgotten that it’s her birthday today till we reminded her during lunch, so i suggested vermicelli soup for afternoon break instead.

The traditional practice is to have it for breakfast on your birthday.

090909

Raisin toast, banana and coffee.

i only realised today is 09.09.09 while watching the news earlier – the day everyone rushed to get married. Is it really an auspicious date? Or just because it’s easy to remember? Somehow, it reminds me of the number 999 instead – Emergency! Help!

dream come true

i thought of skipping my break today because there are some work to be rushed. But at 4.30pm, i was really hungry. i am sure 20 mins won’t hurt anything.

Current reads: Long Way Round by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman with Robert Uhlig.
So far, i’ve covered about slightly over half of the book and i’m loving this journey with them. i can’t wait to read till the part where they reach their destination. Ahh... dream come true.

burnt

Slightly burnt toast with raspberry jam and coffee.

Current reads: The Lonely Planet Story by Tony and Maureen Wheeler
Many times when reading the book (usually late at night), i had the impulse to explore the world immediately. But when morning came, i would have forgotten and was ready to start another busy day.
