fresh green & yummy brown
Coffee, kiwi & raisin toast
i was at the printer’s place today when a stranger walked in and sat down on my laptop. i wasn’t mad at that instant but he started blaming me for leaving the laptop on the chair. It was a tiny room, it’s either the chair or the floor. i don’t blame him for not seeing it (even though it was a 15" laptop with full brightness set on the screen), but can’t he at least say sorry?
Now my laptop cover couldn’t close and open properly. Arrggghhhh!

dad’s birthday
Coffee and fried vermicelli.
i’m never good at numbers except for remembering a few birthdays. At the cake shop today, the lady asked how many candles do i need for the cake and i mumbled 1944... yes, i always had to do this little mental calculation when asked about age (even for myself!). She took a calculator and started tapping on the buttons. i thought she was doing the maths for me but when i reached home, i realised she had given me 4 big and 4 small candles. Haha!
Happy Birthday Dad!

xl’s birthday
Chocolate swiss roll, potato chips and coffee.
XL is one of my ‘oldest’ friends – not in terms of age, but of the number of years we’ve known each other. She was my classmate in Primary one, which means we knew each other when we were 7 years old. So, x years minus 7... Unbelievable!
Happy Birthday, my dear friend! xx

Current reads: The Lost Executioner by Nick Dunlop
i’ve been reading this book for weeks and each time i can only finished one or two chapters. The book reminds me of my visits to Tuol Sleng and the Killing Fields two years ago. It’s just too disturbing and depressing to read.
