one a penny two a penny...
Hot cross bun, coffee
“Hot cross buns! Hot cross buns!
One a penny two a penny, hot cross buns
If you have no daughters, give them to your sons
One a penny two a penny, hot cross buns”
How many of you sang this song when in nursery? i probably didn’t understand... or didn’t bother to think about the meanings for half of the songs that were taught then. Anyway, many of the nursery rhymes have strange lyrics (especially the chinese ones). For example this song, does it mean that if i have daughters, then the sons won’t get to eat it? Or why can’t i eat the buns myself, or give them to my grandma or my friends instead?
Alright ignore me, i was just spouting nonsense and i blame it on my headache.
i just googled this song and guess what? It says on Wikipedia: “this song is performed to summon satan”.
Yeah you’re right.
